When printing a generic document (PDF) from Peoplevox to a Zebra Printer, it is important to ensure that the correct printing dimensions are applied in Microsoft Windows® printer settings. Without the correct dimensions applied, printed documents may not be the correct physical size (often appearing very small).
It is critical that you set the printer stock dimensions following the steps exactly as detailed below. There are several ways to get to the final screenshot below, but it is particularly important that you reach this configuration via the steps detailed (3) and (4) below. Setting the "Printing defaults" affects the configuration for all system users (not just a single Windows account) - this is important because the Descartes Peoplevox Print Service runs under a system user account.
To set dimensions (guide for Microsoft Windows 10):
Navigate to Printers & scanners in Windows.
Select the printer from the list and select Manage.
Select Printer properties.
Select the Advanced tab and click Printing defaults.
In the Options tab (selected by default), apply the appropriate stock size and click Apply.
