Release Notes - Version 6.4.0 (121)

In this release we're continuing to roll forwards on fixing some outstanding bugs around allocation, as well as some improvements to the framework we use for making new releases, and a couple of changes on Android that we hope will make your life a bit easier.

Enhancements:

  • We've introduced a new option to the Android device that lets you control the order in which the prompts appear during actions, e.g. the "From" and "To" locations, so you can customise your pick process to whatever works best for you. This is controlled via a role permission, so if you want to try this out, you'll just need to enable the "Configure components order" permission under Global permissions (Android)" from the roles screen on the web (3558, 20104, 20965).
  • We've also improved the sync process so that your configuration settings are now automatically shared between devices - so if you often swap between different devices, you'll see your Android user settings automatically carried across (20965).
  • We've tweaked the way the search function (the magnifying glass icon) works during pick actions - rather than listing every single product in the system, it'll now filter that to the item you're actually being prompted to pick, so if you're unable to scan the barcode for any reason, you can still complete the pick (21260).
  • We're making some ongoing improvements to minimise disruption to integrations and reporting during new release deployments - we're aiming to be able to perform releases soon without any impact to Magento or ChannelAdvisor integrations or to reporting (17899).

Bugfixes:

  • Fixed a bug with allocation that could result in misleading history records when changing a location between pick and quarantine (6406).
  • Fixed a bug with purchase orders that could prevent inventory from being updated correctly when a PO was cancelled (14850).
  • Fixed a bug with inventory movement that could lead to inventory not being recalculated correctly when moving between quarantine locations (20912).
  • Fixed a bug with moving inventory into quarantine locations that could incorrectly cause the quarantined quantity to be reset to zero (20913).
  • Fixed a bug that could prevent the inventory being updated correctly when moving between containers in different sites (20915).
  • Fixed a bug with moving a sales order between sites that could lead to incorrect allocation of the order. Moving an order to a different site via the web app will now automatically prompt you to confirm the allocation from the new site (21676, 21677).
