In this release we're going to be rolling out some further improvements to the new reporting framework, continuing to focus on some back-end server and infrastructure optimisations, and also some new behaviour around despatching on Android that may be useful if you're using a pick method that splits your orders into separate totes for each order.
Enhancements:
- Introduced a new feature during Android despatch, called "Despatch without item scan for locations that contain single orders". This is a new permission that can be enabled for your Android operators. With this enabled, the app will check the location you scan during despatch - if it only holds items for a single order, then it will skip the prompt for you to scan each item, and behave as though you had scanned each item in the tote. This can be useful if you use a pick method that ensures you don't mix orders in pick totes, and you want to speed up the despatch process (24127).
- We're rolling out a couple of reports on the new enhanced reporting framework. This will be an incremental rollout, but expect to see improved performance on the despatch summary and item inventory summary report, as well as others over the coming weeks (24282).
Bugfixes:
- Ongoing fixes to some parts of the back-end framework responsible for managing connections into the database, which should reduce the number of hard-to-repro problems like transaction failures around goods receipt and picking (24090).
