Despatch Exceptions Unpick and Repack

Unpick

If you are unable to despatch an item in an order that has been picked, perhaps because it has been picked incorrectly or broken in the picking trolley, you can unpick that item and then return it to stock or remove it from the system as appropriate. You can then create a new action to pick a replacement item in order to complete the despatch.

  1. In the mobile app, tap and select Unpick. All the items in despatch locations are displayed.

  2. Tap the item that you want to unpick. The Unpick screen is displayed.

  3. Scan or enter the barcode of the item to be unpicked.

  4. Enter the quantity of the item.

  5. Scan or enter the barcode for the unpick reason. Unpick reasons are set up in the web app.

  6. Scan or enter the barcode for the location into which you want to move the unpicked item. If the unpick reason you selected defines the item as reusable, then you can unpick it into any pick or bulk location. If it is defined as non-reusable, you must unpick it into a quarantine location.

  7. Tap UNPICK.

Note: You can only unpick one item at a time. We don't recommend that you unpick an item from a partially-picked order; it is better to cancel an order in this case and start again. We also don't recommend that you unpick items where the serial number has been recorded during picking, as this will prevent that serial number from being reused.

Repack

The Repack function is designed for warehouse operations that use containers to handle items in bulk. These are useful for wholesalers who despatch large numbers of items to re-stock shops and other retail outlets. If multiple containers have been picked to fulfil an order but none of them is full, you can use Repack to move the picked items from one container to another, which avoids shipping half-empty containers.

  1. In the mobile app, tap and select Repack.

  2. Scan or enter the From Location barcode (this is the container that holds the items that are being repacked in another container).

  3. Scan or enter the barcode for the items you want to repack and enter the quantity. Tap to select the entire contents of the container.

    • You can only repack picked items from a container. You will not be able to repack any non-picked items present in the container.

  4. Scan or enter the barcode for the To Location (this is the container where the items will be repacked).

    • You cannot repack picked items into a container which contains non-picked items, as this creates a mixture of picked and non-picked items in a container which is likely to lead to errors when despatching.

  5. Tap REPACK.
