This release is going to be a little bigger than normal - we're trying to roll out as much as possible before we dive into peak.
We've got a load of Android bugfixes for you, some incremental performance improvements for action creation, and some updates to our Magento integration. All on top of the usual set of improvements to Android sync and scalability upgrades in preparation for peak.
Enhancements:
- We've been working hard to bring our Magento 1.x integrations up to speed to work with multiple packages and split shipments. The integration now does a much better job of matching up packages from PVX to shipments within Magento (4198, 13282, 13285, 14156).
- We've extended our Android transaction logs a little to help us narrow down which site, device, and network the logs were reported by (10605).
- The Android app will now remember your settings and local config between app versions. This means that even if you need to roll back to an earlier version of the app, we'll remember your username, Client ID, printer settings etc. (11330).
- We're adding some extra back-end logging to keep better track of print requests, so we'll be able to help diagnose any printing issues you run into more easily (12077).
Bugfixes:
- Fixed a bug in the action creation messaging system that prevented you from being notified when the system was unable to hard-allocate components of a kitted product. You'll now get a message indicating that the system was unable to find the items if there's an insufficient pick-face quantity (11432).
- Fixed a bug on the Android device related to sorting print requests when the shipping address didn't include a country (12242).
- Fixed a rare bug that could cause an error message (related to "namespaces") to appear during web app despatch. You won't be interrupted by that anymore (12668).
- Fixed a bug with unpicking an order to a quarantine location, where the system would sometimes immediately re-generate an action to go and pick the same item again (12722).
- Fixed a bug that could prevent you from despatching an order on Android if it was partially picked into multiple locations (13042).
- Fixed a bug that could cause the Android application login to be interrupted if the user rotates the device (13168).
- We've fixed a problem with our logging that was obscuring some logs generated by print requests - we'll be able to support you better with printing issues now that we've got more visibility here (13315).
- Fixed a bug where Android would sometimes fail to sync the deletion of a transaction (e.g. a despatch or adjustment) - we'll now ensure that if you delete a transaction on the device, it actually gets deleted (13908).
- Fixed a bug with the recent updater update whereby the updater was unable to locate the new version on the server - you'll no longer see the "Application file does not exist on server" message (13995).
