Changes to Multi-Factor Authentication and Mobile Device Registration
Multi-factor authentication codes will not be required for mobile operators, but from this release onwards, any new mobile devices accessing the system will first need to be registered via the new mobile devices web app page. The intent behind this change is to ensure that only authorized devices are permitted to connect to the system and to provide administrators with greater control over onboarding and offboarding mobile operators.
Action Creation Improvements
🟨 You can now see a history of all recent activity directly from the action profile page. From here, you can review the recent profile runs and drill into the details of each. You can still see a list of all recent profile runs from the Action creation activities page, but this allows you to easily filter that view down to a single profile. (1267068)
🟨 When setting the completion deadline for an action via the profile, you can now set a date relative to the time that the profile runs (e.g., one hour after the action is created). (1297148)
🟨 You can now run the profile directly from the profile page, without having to schedule it. (1173973)
🟩 The time displayed when scheduling an action via the profile is now correctly displayed in the local time zone rather than UTC. (1256809)
🟩 Fixed a bug that could prevent a scrollbar from being displayed in cases where the screen size was too small to display the full action profile page. (1372725)
🟩 Fixed a collection of bugs that affected how the action creation process identified items to be picked for orders. In some cases this caused a small number of items on an order to be overlooked. The overlooked items resulted in:
Partial picks being created.
Orders becoming partially despatched even with sufficient inventory available to fulfil them.
The root cause has been fixed, and all eligible items are now accounted for when creating actions. (1302772)
Mobile Pick and Ship Workflow (1280982)
You can now automatically ship items as part of the mobile picking workflow for certain action types. You can use this workflow with the following action types:
One person picks one order.
Multi-item batch pick (orders).
Multi-item batch pick (items).
We plan to continue extending this to also cover the following in the coming releases:
Single item batch pick.
Pick and sort to trolley.
Zone pick.
To enable this workflow, simply check the Automatically despatch after pick permission for the relevant action type in the roles tab:
When a picker with this permission picks an item, the mobile app automatically runs through the entire mobile despatch process behind the scenes:
Creating a package for the item(s).
Despatching the package.
Queueing any selected despatch documents for print (which may trigger carrier integrations as normal).
The picker remains in the pick workflow and is not asked for any additional information; the despatch process is completed silently in the background.
This new functionality gives you the tools to build some exciting new workflows. For example, you can use this to easily ship and print labels for bulky products that you do not want to re-handle by taking through a standard pack-bench process.
Some key points about this feature:
-
The items are despatched as soon as the picker confirms the movement of one or more items into the picking trolley. That means either:
When they hit the Pick button.
If auto-pick is enabled, as soon as they scan the item.
When they scan the total required quantity of the item as indicated on the app, the app moves to the next item.
Packages can never mix items for different orders, so if several items are picked for different orders at the same time, the app will create separate packages for each order.
-
Each pick creates separate packages, even if picking several different items for the same order. For example:
If you pick 3x ItemA (2x for SO1 and 1x for SO2), then that first picks create two packages, one for each of SO1 and SO2.
If you subsequently pick 2x ItemB (1x for SO1 and 1x for SO3) then this creates another two packages, one for each of SO1 and SO3. The app will not consolidate the ItemB into the existing package for SO1.
This behaviour may differ slightly for other action types. For example, with Pick and sort to trolley we intend to create and despatch the package only when the entire order is picked. This should give you the flexibility to support different types of orders.
Other New Features and Enhancements
🟪 We have continued to improve the user experience of the PVX+ app, based on feedback from the update to the register function in late 2025:
The PVX+ app now uses the same settings for audio feedback that the PVX app uses. (1335559)
The PVX+ app also shows a history of recent activity on the device, similar to the transaction history on PVX. (1343557)
The PVX+ app now prevents accidental barcode scans into quantity fields. (1335526)
🟪 We have improved overall system security through a range of back-end updates and patches. (1390676)
🟪 We have improved the performance of several reports related to replenishment. (1140529)
🟪 We have extended the new location groups page to allow users to move groups between one parent and another. Previously, you could only do this by moving the group to a new parent site, but now groups can be moved between different levels in the hierarchy. Users can either search for a group by name or barcode, or they can select a group via the location groups tree view. (1256952)
🟪 We have introduced a new session expiry warning on the web application. When using any of the new UI screens, users see a warning message 60 seconds before their session is due to expire, giving them a chance to stay logged in if they are still active. (1288617)
Other Resolved Issues
🟩 Fixed a bug that was causing the LastStockTakeDate to be incorrectly set to the current date when modifying a location via CSV. The date will now remain unchanged unless specifically updated by providing a value for it in the CSV file. (1333027)
🟩 Fixed a bug that could result in purchase orders being submitted without setting the submitted date. This resulted in them being missed from some purchase order reports. The date is now set correctly when the status of the order changes to submitted. (596990)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the inventory snapshot report that could cause it to show incorrect information for items in containers that had been moved since the snapshot was taken. The report should now correctly record the item and container location at the time the snapshot was run. (1118342)
🟩 Fixed a bug that could prevent the movement of a container into quarantine from generating a change in availability for the items inside that container. Moving containers in this way will now correctly update the availability for any affected items. (1241796)
🟩 Fixed a bug that could cause dashboards to stop automatically refreshing. (1191511)
🟩 Fixed a rare bug that could lead to some data duplication in the item inventory summary reports. (1249734, 1273989)
🟩 Fixed a bug that could cause the item movement history report to fail to show a movement record for items in a container when that container is removed from the system. The report will now correctly show these items as being removed along with the container. (1078825)
🟩 Fixed a bug that caused the options for the order by field in the put away rule step configuration popup to be missing. The dropdown now correctly shows the available options for sorting the list of locations found by the put away rule step. (1332412)
🟩 Fixed a rare bug that could prevent orders from allocating correctly when importing the same item line multiple times. (1311846)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the mobile app that could allow the device to enter "idle" mode while the app was active. (1345495)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the returns summary report that led to confusion around the days since despatch column. A new column has been added to the report called Days between despatch and return that tracks the time between the original shipment and the item being returned. (1299451)
🟩 Fixed a bug that could cause the mobile app to recommend the same location multiple times in a loop when asked to find another location during a skip. This occurred when the system was configured to automatically handle failed actions. The system will now correctly track each location that has been suggested and will not recommend it a second time for a given item, even if failed actions are automatically handled. (1276510)
🟩 Fixed an issue that could result in suppliers being duplicated when importing them via CSV. (1264016)
🟩 Fixed a bug that resulted in an error when trying to create a print template rule based on the number of item lines on a sales order. (367678)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the new reporting module that caused some values to be truncated even if the width of the column is expanded to provide enough space to show the full text. (1350593)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the "Items removed" report that caused it to incorrectly show the removal description rather than the location from which the item was removed. (632480)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the "Item movement history" report that caused it to present an incorrect location type for some movements involving containers. (1349128)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the "Goods in summary" report that could cause it to display the wrong user associated with the receipt. (846899)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the "Despatched items by package v5" report that could cause it to incorrectly show a blank username for the despatch. (1242843)
🟩 Fixed a bug with the "Despatched items by package v5" report that could cause it to show the incorrect country name for some packages. (1087758)
Preview of Changes Coming Soon
Multi-Factor Authentication for Web App Users
Coming soon, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be required for most web app users. MFA is already enforced for users with permission to manage roles or users; this requirement now extends to other web app user roles. The exception to this requirement is for web app users that only have permissions related to Returns and/or Despatch. This exception is intended to ensure that returns and pack bench workstations can continue to operate seamlessly.
Note: Please review the permissions of your web application users to ensure that you are prepared for this change.
Cycle Count Improvements
We’re working on several improvements to the cycle count process. We would love to hear your feedback on these topics.
🟦 We are working on an auto-approval mechanism that will allow you to define thresholds for auto-approval based on the total item variance, or a percentage variance, or a total value variance (or any combination of the above). These thresholds will be set at the Site level and are entirely optional. You will be able to enable auto-approval with a variance threshold of zero if you only want to auto-approve variances with no discrepancies.
🟦 We plan to improve the way cycle count actions are displayed on the web application. The current actions pages are geared around pick actions, making many of the fields and columns not applicable to cycle counting. The goal is to introduce screens that are relevant to the specific action type.
