This release contains the first early-access version of the new Android scan function. This is the first feature to make use of the new PVX+ framework (see here for more info). We have updated the way we display our Android app version numbers to include this too (the PVX+ version comes after the forward slash).
This release also continues with:
- Improving our process for automatically obfuscating PII data from the system
- Making the JSON data payload used by carrier integrations available for download from the web app
- Improving several system reports
Enhancement: Released the first early-access version of the new scan feature on Android. This feature allows users to scan barcodes in the warehouse to see relevant information, and to navigate to related information (e.g. to a list of picked items from scanning a despatch location). Please take a look at this article for more information on how this feature works (452475).
Enhancement: Ongoing work towards a new login workflow, coming soon. The new workflow will continue to use your existing credentials but will allow us to expand on that in the future with additional security features, such as two-factor authentication (452456).
Enhancement: Improved on some security automation to help with tasks such as data obfuscation (452731).
Enhancement: Ongoing work to migrate users across to newer, improved-performance versions of several background jobs related to Android sync and reporting (550200).
Enhancement: Carrier integrations currently consuming the XML data file from the web app can now start to use the JSON schema that API-based integrations use. Standardizing the data between API- and download-based integrations will allow us to provide improvements and updates to both more easily going forward. See this article for more details and for some guidance on moving from the XML to JSON formats (363539).
Enhancement: A new version of the despatched items by package report is now available (version 3). This version builds on the performance improvements from recent releases, and includes a number of additional columns that have been requested through feedback on the ideas portal (423595).
Enhancement: Improved the outstanding sales orders report by adjusting the internal filtering that it applies. You can now adjust the default filter to show all outstanding sales orders (599285).
Resolved Issue: Fixed a bug with the failed actions report that was incorrectly causing it to hide some failed actions if the affected item was no longer in stock or on an open purchase / sales order (510504).
Resolved Issue: Fixed a rare bug with the ChannelAdvisor integration that could occasionally cause it to reimport closed sales orders (603562).
