Release Notes - Version 9.6.0 (176/23)

Descartes® is pleased to announce the general availability of the Descartes Peoplevox™ 9.6.0 (176/23) release. This release will include the addition of multi-factor authentication for web application users, and continues to prepare for the upcoming release of the updated UI for locations and location groups on the web application. That release will be an early-access preview to give you an idea of what the overall UI update will look like, and to allow you to provide feedback. If you're interested in being involved in the preview, please reach out via the support desk and we will reach out once it's available.

New Features

New Feature: Multi-factor authentication will be available on the web application from Monday 27th March. Web app users will have the choice of using SMS, email, or an authenticator app in order to receive an additional code during the login process. This additional layer of security will help prevent unauthorized access to the system. For more details about multi-factor authentication, take a look at the documentation here.

Enhancements

Enhancement: Extended the Pick Detail report to include a new column, the Pick ID, which represents the slot on the picking trolley to which the picker is suggested to put the item during "pick and sort to trolley" action types. This additional column will assist with manual and automated validation of picks, as well as providing consumers of the report with the same information that the mobile operators performing the pick would have (741845).

Resolved Issues

Resolved Issue: Fixed a rare bug with goods in reconciliation that could cause multiple events to be raised for a single reconciliation event if the receipt was large enough for the mobile to save it in multiple parts. Events should now correctly be raised once the entire transaction has saved completely (605378).Resolved Issue: Fixed a bug that could cause incorrect quantities to be displayed on the despatch summary report. The bug was caused by the mechanism used to send data to the reporting system and validate its correctness. That validation process has now been corrected so that the correct quantities should be displayed on the report (731490).

Note: For a longer-term view of the changes coming to the system, particularly those that will impact integrations, please take a look at the Coming Soon section:
