Descartes® is pleased to announce the general availability of the Descartes Peoplevox™ 24.02-02 release. This release includes the new web app styling and navigation on production environments (see the screenshots below). This new UI is already available on QAC and will be enabled on live production accounts during this release. This release also contains some additional enhancements to the returns workflow and some general bug fixes across the system.
The major new UI update arriving on production with this release helps keep the look and feel of the application more consistent. For example, here are some previews from our development environment for the old Returns screen using the updated UI:
And the Create actions window on the updated UI:
As you can see, the screens themselves are unchanged, so you can continue using your existing workflows and processes. However, the navigation and overall user experience move closer with the new style being used on the locations and returns pages.
New Features
New Feature: Made the new web app UI update available on production as part of this release. The new UI does not change the functionality available on each screen, but the navigation between screens and the overall experience is more consistent with the recently released returns and locations screens (954161).
Enhancements
Enhancement: Extended the new returns workflow with the ability to return multiple products in a single workflow. The user now has the option to switch between a single-item workflow (which automatically submits the return after each item is scanned) or a multi-item workflow (which will submit the return when all eligible items are returned, or when the user clicks the button on the screen to do so). In a future release, users will also be able to scan a special barcode to complete the return, which will help the user avoid keyboard and mouse interaction (919362).
Resolved Issues
Resolved Issue: Fixed a bug that could block the import of RMA and RMA item lines (984576).
Resolved Issue: Fixed a bug with user management that required a password to be provided every time a user was modified. The functionality to change the password is now separate from the user modification, with a separate dedicated permission to manage it (937433).
Resolved Issue: Fixed a rare bug that could cause locations to remain locked even after (1) a stock take was completed and (2) the variance approved or rejected. The stock take lock should now be correctly removed from a location so that it can be picked from/into as soon as the stock take is completed and any variances resolved (930783).
Important: Several changes are coming to the system in April, including some that impact integrations. Please take a look at the Coming Soon section to make sure that you are prepared for these changes:
