Changes to Multi-Factor Authentication
With this release, multi-factor authentication will become mandatory for all web application users, unless they qualify for an exception. In order to qualify, the user must have no web application permissions other than those for Despatch, Returns, or viewing Dashboards. If the user's role has any web application permission other than those, then they will not qualify for the exception, and MFA will be mandatory.
Note: Please review the permissions of your web application users to ensure that you are prepared for this change.
Action Creation Improvements
🟨 The action profile now supports now includes a configuration option that lets you control whether an action automatically converts to a One Person Picks One Order type when the order selection criteria or batch size results in a single order being batched. (1307211)
🟨 The Order Filters page now supports the ability to share filters between users and roles. This page is currently under construction. You can view and share existing filters, but you cannot yet create or update them. We plan to add create and update functionality in a future release. (1267112)
🟨 The Action Creation activities detail page now includes both, the Item Code and the Item Name, under the Faults section, which makes it easier to identify items that could not be batched. (1397154)
🟨 The Action Creation detail page now includes a timeline that indicates when the activity was queued, when it started, and when it ended, successfully or otherwise. (1397168)
🟨 You can now mark Action Profiles as inactive and filter the profile list to exclude inactive profiles. We plan to make this process more user-friendly in a future release. (1346636)
🟨 Action Profiles now support advanced action creation options, allowing users to define zone-based allocation settings. (1256827)
🟨 You can now unlock actions directly from the new Actions list.
You are prompted to confirm before unlocking.
Visual Improvements for Reports and Dashboards
We have improved the way data is presented across both reports and dashboards. Reports can now be scrolled horizontally as well as vertically, and the default width of report columns will now scale based on the length of the column name. In addition to that, the limitation of displaying only 20 columns at a time has been lifted. (1038927, 1344393)
In Dashboards, number counter components now include additional padding around the displayed value. We also removed rounding to three significant figures, so the full value now appears.
Mobile Pick and Ship Workflow
We have extended the new pick and ship workflow to work with single item batch picking. (1411055) We also plan to support in the future:
Pick and sort to trolley.
Zone pick.
To enable this workflow, select the Automatically despatch after pick permission for the relevant action type in the Roles tab.
When a picker with this permission picks an item, the mobile app automatically completes the entire despatch process in the background. The app creates a package for the item(s), despatches it, and queues any selected despatch documents for printing, which may trigger carrier integrations as usual. The picker remains in the pick workflow and is not prompted for additional information.
This new functionality gives you the tools to build some exciting new workflows. For example, you can use this to easily ship and print labels for bulky products that you do not want to re-handle by taking through a standard pack-bench process.
Some additional key points about this feature:
-
The items are despatched as soon as the picker confirms the movement of one or more items into the picking trolley. That means either:
When they hit the Pick button.
If auto-pick is enabled, as soon as they scan the item.
When they scan the total required quantity of the item as indicated on the app, the app moves to the next item.
Packages can never mix items for different orders, so if several items are picked for different orders at the same time, the app will create separate packages for each order. .Each pick also creates new packages, even when picking additional items for an order that already has a package. For example:
If you pick 3x ItemA (2x for SO1 and 1x for SO2), then that first picks create two packages, one for each of SO1 and SO2.
If you subsequently pick 2x ItemB (1x for SO1 and 1x for SO3) then this creates another two packages, one for each of SO1 and SO3. The app will not consolidate the ItemB into the existing package for SO1.
This behaviour may differ slightly for other action types. For example, with Pick and sort to trolley we intend to create and despatch the package only when the entire order is picked. This should give you the flexibility to support different types of orders.
Other New Features and Enhancements
🟪 The PVX+ app activity history page now allows you to drill into the activity detail to view the specifics of the work that was done. (1369102)
Other Resolved Issues
🟩 We resolved an issue that could allow despatched orders to be updated to a "New" status if reimported. (1335290)
🟩 We resolved an issue with the PVX+ Register function that could cause quantities to be duplicated when registering items. (1343543)
🟩 We resolved an issue with a handful of reports that prevented items from being displayed if the "Is Serializable" flag was set for them. (365678)
🟩 We resolved an issue that could occasionally prevent the automatic reconciliation of goods receipts, even if auto-reconciliation was enabled. (1373774)
Preview of Changes Coming Soon
Cycle Count Improvements
We’re working on several improvements to the cycle count process. We would love to hear your feedback on these topics.
🟦 We are working on an auto-approval mechanism that will allow you to define thresholds for auto-approval based on the total item variance, or a percentage variance, or a total value variance (or any combination of the above). These thresholds will be set at the Site level and are entirely optional. You will be able to enable auto-approval with a variance threshold of zero if you only want to auto-approve variances with no discrepancies.
🟦 We plan to improve the way cycle count actions are displayed on the web application. The current actions pages are geared around pick actions, making many of the fields and columns not applicable to cycle counting. The goal is to introduce screens that are relevant to the specific action type.
