This is going to be our final release of 2019 - we're pushing out the last few changes that we've been able to squeeze in over the past couple of weeks, and from here until January we'll be working behind the scenes to support you over peak.
These changes are aimed to ensure we've got the maximum amount of information to work with about usage and performance, so that we can help keep you running smoothly. We've also managed to roll in some performance improvements to a few reports so you should see those running much more quickly.
Enhancements
- Some back-end stability improvements to Android sync that will resolve some issues where the device needs to add and delete some data as part of the same activity (17756)
- Added some additional safety checks to Android sync to ensure that it always reads notifications in the right order, which will resolve some issues caused by out-of-sequence updates (18660)
- Ongoing development work to Android in preparation for the Sort component of Pick by Zone (21120, 21546)
- Improved the granularity of log data that we capture around network connections to help diagnose connectivity issues (21652)
- We've added some additional background connectivity tests to the Android device to help identify any potential issues caused by connectivity problems (21340)
- Improved the performance of a number of system reports, including "Out of stock items", "Sales order summary", "User active now by activity", and "Inventory by location" (20107, 20109, 22220, 22229)
- We've added a new option to the action creation screen on the web app, so you can now choose how you want to see your list of orders for batching; oldest first or newest first (21155)
- We've tuned the performance of the filter process used to find orders for batching into actions (21651)
- We've increased the amount of Android feedback data that is sent to our monitoring tools, so that we can more easily keep an eye on the overall health an performance of the Android app (22498)
Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug that resulted in the "Details" button on the stock take tab of the web app being hidden (21916)
