Note: As we continue the migration of screens to the new web app styling, we will move the older version of each screen to legacy mode. The older versions will remain available for the immediate future, but you are encouraged to use the new screens wherever possible. Also, we welcome your feedback on the new screens. Your input helps us to ensure that the new screens meet your needs before the legacy screens are switched-off at a later date. The new versions of those screens include:
- Locations
- Location groups
- Removals
- Sites
- Returns
Thank you to everyone that has provided feedback on these screens so far. Please rest assured that we are reviewing all feedback, and have several enhancements planned to implement many of those changes that you have proposed.
Note: The legacy web app returns workflow will be moving to end of life in the near future. Please use the new returns workflow to process your returns. If you currently use the legacy workflow, you will see an in-app announcement in the coming days. For guidance on the new workflow, please check our help documentation here. If you have any concerns that the new workflow is missing any key functionality that your business needs, please reach out via the support desk so that we can work with you to identify and resolve those gaps.
New Features and Enhancements
🟨 It is now possible to set replenishment quantities for each item on a site-by-site basis. The existing replenishment fields on the item are still present and still work as they did before, but it is now possible to use a new "Item type replenishment details" CSV template to provide site-specific overrides for individual items. If a site-specific override is provided, then replenishment in that site will use that override value for the item. If no override is provided, then the item-level replenishment details are used instead. The two replenishment fields that can be overridden in this way are the minimum pick face quantity (i.e. the trigger point for the replenishment) and the replenishment quantity (i.e. how much product to move). One, both, or neither can be overridden for a given item in a particular site. Note: Currently, this override is available via CSV template only. It will be made available via the web app when the items tab is updated to use the new styling. (704674)
🟨 The first early-access version of the put away rules configuration workflow is now available for beta users. This configuration screen allows users to set up put away rules that mobile operators will subsequently use. Setting up a rule is a two step process. First, an optional condition can be defined, which determines the scenarios in which the rule is used. Second, one or more rule steps are defined, which determine the eligible locations that this rule will suggest. A comprehensive list of the available condition filters and rule step options will be available on our documentation portal in the near future, but here are some examples of what the new rule configuration will support (737592):
When putting away items that are currently in the pick face, direct the user to use that same location
When putting away items from a return, put away the items to the locations that will be allocated first for picking
When putting away items, apply a volumetric calculation to only direct the user to locations that have sufficient free cubic space
When putting away items, ensure that the destination location does not exceed a maximum pre-defined weight
When putting away hazardous items, direct the user to pre-defined hazardous goods storage
🟨 The new Dashboards module is now available for beta users. The new dashboards module aims to provide the same set of functionality as the existing dashboards, but uses the new styling and provides the groundwork for further improvements to user experience and new feature enhancements. The new dashboards are fully compatible with the existing dashboards module; any dashboards created in one workflow can be viewed and updated in the other. (745013)
Resolved Issues
🟩 An issue was resolved that could prevent the carrier integration framework from properly decoding the responses from some integration endpoints. The underlying issue here was fixed and a few individual users and partners will be contacted directly to validate and verify the fix. (1081225)
🟩 An issue was resolved that could cause the Site field to be blank on some CSV exports related to purchase orders. The site should now be correctly populated on those exports. (1067389)
🟩 We resolved a mobile display issue that could cause some buttons and other controls to overlap and be inaccessible. This issue was present on a small number of device form-factors, but those devices should now display all mobile controls correctly and consistently. (1048422)
🟩 We resolved an issue with the replenishment process that could lead to incorrect sequencing and potentially direct users to replenish from lower priority locations before higher priority ones. The replenishment process should now behave as described in the help article here. (1056370)
