Descartes Peoplevox 24.10-02 includes the New Features, Enhancements and Resolved Issues (bug fixes) described below. If you have questions about an item, please reference the number in parentheses, if available, when contacting Descartes Customer Support.
This is the final release of the year and is primarily focused on several performance enhancements to action creation. Is also includes some bug fixes and some small UI improvements, though we will continue to work on updates to the new UI screens (including put away rule management) for delivery in early January.

Note: As we continue the migration of screens to the new web app styling, we will move the older version of each screen to legacy mode. The older versions will remain available for the immediate future, but you are encouraged to use the new screens wherever possible. Also, we welcome your feedback on the new screens. Your input helps us to ensure that the new screens meet your needs before the legacy screens are switched-off at a later date. The new versions of those screens include:
- Locations
- Location groups
- Removals
- Sites
- Returns
Thank you to everyone that has provided feedback on these screens so far. Please rest assured that we are reviewing all feedback, and have several enhancements planned to implement many of those changes that you have proposed.
Note: The legacy web app returns workflow will be moving to end of life in April 2025. Please use the new returns workflow to process your returns. If you currently use the legacy workflow, you will see an in-app announcement in the coming days. For guidance on the new workflow, please check our help documentation here. If you have any concerns that the new workflow is missing any key functionality that your business needs, please reach out via the support desk so that we can work with you to identify and resolve those gaps.
New Features and Enhancements
🟨 The import template for submitting tracking data via CSV upload has been enhanced. The template now also supports the ability to provide the specific carrier service to which the tracking applies. (1067116)
🟪 The performance of logging in to the web app was improved by removing unnecessary redirects from the process. (1107995)
🟪 The performance of action creation for several commonly used pick types has been improved. The creation of actions for pick and sort to trolley, multi-item batching, and single item batch picking are now significantly faster. These improvements are deployed with this release, but will only be activated in the following week(s); therefore you may not see the effect of these changes immediately. (1013276, 1013277, 1013279)
🟪 The maximum complexity of action creation filters is now limited in order to prevent the accidental creation of extremely large and long-running batching filters. (1112123)
🟪 The styling on the new dashboards screens was improved to be more consistent across all dashboard components. (1104191)
Resolved Issues
🟩 An issue with the import of product barcodes was fixed. This issue had previously prevented some products from being imported correctly if the product file was extremely large. (1107226)
🟩 An issue with dashboard generation on the new dashboards UI was resolved. This issue could previously prevent system dashboards from displaying correctly. (1104236)
🟩 An issue with redirecting to the new put away beta mobile workflow was resolved. This issue could previously cause the user to receive misleading error messages when opening the workflow after having closed the app. (1101636)
