Important: Several changes are coming to the system in April 2024, including those that impact your mobile devices and/or integrations. In particular, mobile devices running a version of Android prior to 7.1 will no longer be compatible with PVX. Please see Coming Soon to make certain you are prepared for these changes.
New Features and Enhancements
🟪 Extended the carrier integration payload to include some additional properties, including the order status, the total number of items picked, and the total number of items despatched so far. These are intended to provide carrier partners with some additional context around the state of the package when a label is requested, so that they can make an informed decision around whether to create a new consignment or try to append the package to an existing one (979775).
🟪 Modified the action creation behaviour for the "pick and sort to trolley" action type. Previously, it would create a "one person picks one order" action if only a single order was selected. Now, it will always use the selected "pick and sort to trolley" action type, regardless of the batch size (1002852).
🟪 Slightly modified the behaviour for "pick and sort to trolley" actions to ensure that when picking multiple items from a single location, users are always prompted to pick those items in a consistent way, based on the product name. This was a rare edge-case and will not affect all users, but it ensures that if the same products are frequently picked from a single location, then those operators will get a consistent set of instructions each time, rather than having the items prompted in a random order (1008958).
🟪 Introduced the ability to control whether certain roles are able to modify carrier/service selections and update package weights during the despatch process. This is controlled via a set of role permissions (354578).
🟪 Extended the list of saved searches available during action creation and elsewhere across the web app. The system will now show 40 filters by default, with the ability to view all created filters by expanding that to show more. We are aware that another common request here is to be able to share those filters between users, and that is something that we are exploring as part of the new UI updates (358752). UPDATE: The filters are also sorted alphabetically so that you can use a numerical prefix in the filter name to keep your most important filters at the top of the list.
🟪 Extended "action" labels to support the comment field from the action group. This means that if you print labels to represent your actions, you can now include the comment from the action on the label and use it as an instruction for pickers (762171).
🟪 Extended the "sales order summary" report to include the "released" status of the order, so that users can identify whether an order has been released for picking yet (1010547).
🟪 Made several performance improvements to the "outstanding purchase orders" report to improve the speed at which it provides results (985751).
Resolved Issues
Fixed a rare bug that could occasionally cause order items to disappear from the sales order after picking (628907).
