Descartes® is pleased to announce the latest Peoplevox release. In this release, we are extending the action creation workflow, adding some API protection layers as we start to prepare for peak this year, and continuing to build out the new user activity KPI report. Below, you will find a summary of everything included, grouped by category so you can easily focus on what is most relevant to you. For any questions about specific items, please reference the associated number (if provided) when contacting Descartes Customer Support.
Migration to New UI - Locations and Location Groups
We are preparing to complete the migration to the new Locations and Location Groups page in June. The legacy Locations page will be phased out over the coming weeks.
Migration to New UI - Stock Take, Cycle Count, Variance Approval
We are continuing to roll out the new UI for web and mobile applications. Our current focus is on Stock Take, Cycle Count and Variance Approval. Thank you for your feedback on the updated screens. We are incorporating your input and are currently working on the next round of improvements based on that feedback.
Other Action Creation Improvements
We are continuing to enhance the action creation workflow. With this release, it is now possible to edit the filter used in action creation directly from the action creation screen through a popup window. You can edit the existing filter, as well as create a new one:
In both cases, the filter will be opened in a popup window that allows you to further refine it:
Auto-Updating Print Client
🟨 The new version of the print client is now generally available and we encourage you to start updating your print clients to this new version. This release introduces automatic updates, which will allow us to push fixes and improvements without disrupting your operation. The initial upgrade must be completed manually, but after installation, the client will keep itself up to date automatically. You can find the installation guide and download link for the new print client here.
Note: Our goal is for all customers to be using the new print client before the Black Friday/Cyber Monday peak period. This will allow us to deploy critical patches and fixes quickly, if needed, during this busy time. To help ensure uninterrupted printing, we encourage you to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible.
Other Improvements
🟨 We have extended the user activity history report to include a wide range of additional activities. You can use the report to track productivity across picking, mobile despatch, movements, adjustments, and most other mobile activities. We are still working on adding the returns workflow to this report and we aim to the functionality in version 26.07-02. (1414222)
🟨 We have added a layer of protection to the new stock take mobile workflow that will warn the operator if they are about to leave the page and would lose work by doing so. The screen will present the operator with a warning and ask them to confirm that they want to discard the changes they have made, or stay on the screen and submit the work they have done. (1478345)
🟨 We are working on a number of back-end improvements to how the system processes reporting requests through API, with the ultimate goal to be more robustly protected against unexpected resource consumption caused by excessive use of the reporting API. These improvements should be largely transparent to API users, but will provide us with additional tools for managing those integrations over peak periods. (1406097)
Resolved Issues
🟩 We resolved several issues with stock take variance approval on the web and mobile apps that could prevent the variance from being accepted. (1475271, 1490890)
🟩 We resolved an issue that could result in some picking and despatch quantities to appear duplicated. We have updated the underlying logic used to process these picks and despatches to prevent this issue. (1483426)
🟩 We resolved an issue with the pick detail report when trying to filter on the "Skip handled?" column. (1480496)

Extended User Activity Reporting
🟦 We are continuing to develop the new user activity report designed to standardize metrics across different warehouse activities. Our goal is to provide you with tools to measure performance, establish benchmarks, and track KPIs for warehouse operators.
