Auto-Updating Print Client

🟨 The new Print Client is now generally available, and we encourage you to upgrade to the latest version. This release introduces automatic updates, which will allow us to push fixes and improvements without disrupting your operation. The initial upgrade must be completed manually, but after installation, the client will update automatically. You can find the installation guide and download link for the new print client here.

With this release, you can also now download this new print client directly from the web application, by navigating to the print client's page, and clicking the download link.

Note: Our goal is for all customers to be using the new print client before the Black Friday/Cyber Monday peak period. This will allow us to deploy critical patches and fixes quickly, if needed, during this busy time. To help ensure uninterrupted printing, we encourage you to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible.

Actions and Action Creation Improvements

🟪 The new web application actions grid now supports the ability to print both Actions and Sales Orders, in the same manner as the legacy actions grid. (1497689, 1497690)

🟪 The Action creation activity page now displays the zones that were selected during a zone pick action. The Zones grid was previously displayed for other action types that used advanced allocation, but has now been extended to work with zone pick as well. (1544912)

New version of Unpick

🟪 The Unpick function on the mobile app has been updated to run on the newer PVX+ app. This new version of unpick follows the same workflow as in the older PVX mobile app, however this newer version fixes a long-running problem that previously had prevented mobile operators from unpicking items if they had been moved at any point after the pick. This new version allows the items to be unpicked, even if the items have been moved as a result of sorting, or ad-hoc movements at the pack bench. (1497519)

Other Improvements

🟪 The Register function on the PVX+ app now allows the mobile operator to leave the activity and return to it later in their session. When they navigate away from an in-progress register, they will be prompted to confirm whether they want to discard their work or save it for later. If they choose to save it, then the next time they reopen the activity, it will be pre-filled with the state of the activity as they had left it. If they subsequently leave the activity and choose to save their progress again, that new state will be saved over the first one. Activities with some saved progress are indicated using an asterisk* in the navigation menu of PVX+. Logging out of the application will clear any saved activity progress. (1457374)

Resolved Issues

🟩 We resolved an issue with the new print client that prevented it from being able to print some carrier labels from third-party systems. (1549026)

🟩 We resolved an issue with stock take that could rarely prevent items removed during stock take from triggering the appropriate changes in availability. (1464618)

🟩 We resolved an issue with the new user activity history report that caused it to incorrectly display the units processed for a stock take activity as the number of distinct products touched by that stock take activity, rather than the total quantity of the items. The report will now show the total number of individual units that were touched during the stock take activity. (1528710)

🟩 We resolved an issue with the mobile register activity that could occasionally cause it to generate duplicated stock movements. This could occur in situations where the mobile app temporarily lost connection to the internet. The register function will now ensure that it receives confirmation that the stock movement has been recorded successfully in order to avoid any risk of duplication. (1350873)

🟩 We resolved an issue with the PVX+ put away function that could occasionally cause the mobile device to crash. (1273999)

Preview of Changes Coming Soon

Action Creation Improvements

Action creation continues to evolve as we drive toward more configurable and more flexible options for batching orders and automating manual processes.

🟦 We plan to extend the new action creation (including the scheduling component) to other warehouse activities, including put away, replenishment and more.
