Auto-Updating Print Client

🟨 The new Print Client is now generally available, and we encourage you to upgrade to the latest version. This release introduces automatic updates, which will allow us to push fixes and improvements without disrupting your operation. The initial upgrade must be completed manually, but after installation, the client will update automatically. You can find the installation guide and download link for the new print client here.

With this release, you can also now download this new print client directly from the web application, by navigating to the print client's page, and clicking the download link.

Note: Our goal is for all customers to be using the new print client before the Black Friday/Cyber Monday peak period. This will allow us to deploy critical patches and fixes quickly, if needed, during this busy time. To help ensure uninterrupted printing, we encourage you to upgrade to the new version as soon as possible.

Actions and Action Creation Improvements

🟪 The new Action Creation workflow and Action Management screens are nearing feature parity with the old UI, and the old screen has been marked as legacy. We're continuing to work on improving the user experience and implement any missing functionality, but we encourage users to make use of the new workflow as much as possible, and to provide feedback so that we can ensure they are working smoothly as we head into peak season. (1554131, 1563509)

Other Improvements

🟪 We have improved the overall performance and speed of searching on the Despatch tab. This includes a new dedicated option to find despatches based on the container in which they were shipped. (1496525)

Resolved Issues

🟩 Locations could become locked after completing a pick on mobile or incorrectly display a "Stock take approval pending on this location" error message. (1506515, 1490878)

🟩 Some characters in carrier integration JSON files were not correctly encoded in UTF-8. (1494456)

🟩 A mobile Put-away screen did not recognize secondary product barcodes, such as manufacturer and supplier part numbers. (1543070)

🟩 The new Stock take workflow caused the location scan box to be unselected after completing a stock take. The location scan box is now given focus after each stock take is completed, to allow the next location to be scanned immediately. (1381832)

🟩The new Order search functionality on action creation could prevent the search working correctly based on the sequence of the filters provided. The search now behaves consistently regardless of the sequence of filters. (1545237)

🟩 The new Stock take variance approval workflow prevented the variance from being handled if it contained items that had been deleted. This could occur in situations where inventory in quarantine did not prevent the deletion of the item, and a stock take was then performed on that quarantine location. The validation for deleting an item now correctly confirms that there is no active inventory for it, even in quarantine locations. If after this fix you have any inventory in quarantine for an item that has already been deleted, please reach out to support for assistance in resolving your inventory. (1524481)

🟩 The mobile cycle count workflow could stop unexpectedly and display the error message "Couldn't get cycle count dictionaries". (1473278)

Preview of Changes Coming Soon

Action Creation Improvements

Action creation continues to evolve as we drive toward more configurable and more flexible options for batching orders and automating manual processes.

🟦 We plan to extend the new action creation (including the scheduling component) to other warehouse activities, including put away, replenishment and more.

Batch and Expiry Tracking

🟦 Batch and expiry tracking has been on our radar for a long time, and we're excited to be in a position to kick off this project soon. The recent work on PVX+ has given us a lot of the foundation that we will need for the mobile changes, and the work that we have been doing on action creation will give us the tools to support things like first-expiry-first-out (FEFO) picking. Keep an eye on release notes for updates and timelines as soon as we have them.
